What are the standard Australian Sizes?

Do you Deliver?
Yes! We offer delivery service to Sydney Metro area. If you live interstate or overseas, we can arrange delivery with our freight partners- enquire here.
How is important is the base?
The base is just as important as the mattress. Your base must be firm with adequate ventilation to support the mattress and allow for airflow. We recommend our traditional upholstered slatted bases.
Do I need to flip and rotate my mattress?
Absolutely! If your mattress is double sided, we recommended rotating and flipping the mattress every 3 months (minimum). This is to ensure even wear so you can get the most of your purchase.
Do you offer a measure and quote?
YES! You are welcome to bring in your caravan or motor home and we can do a measure at our factory 56 Fairford Rd Padstow and provide you a quote on the spot.
For boats, if the vessel is located in Sydney, please call our team to organise an appointment for measure and quote on 97086300.
Can I see my mattress being made?
Yes! Our friendly staff will be able to assist you.
Are the mattress made in Australia?
Yes! Our Australian factory is located 56 Fairford Rd Padstow.
Can you make round mattresses?
Absolutely! We are able to manufacture mattresses any size, any shape , any size.
Are you direct to public?
Yes have been since 1939.

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm

How long does it take to manufacture a mattress?
On average mattresses and bases take 7-10 working days to manufacture. Bedheads and Drawer Bases on average 6-8 weeks.
Are you open on weekends?
Saturday 8am to 4pm. Sundays are appointment only.
How long is a consultation?
Take as much time as you need to feel confident in your choice. On average, it takes about an hour, but there’s no time limit. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like—our team loves a challenge!
Do you make special size mattresses and bases?
Yes! Absolutely. Send us your dimensions and template via email sales@rmf.net.au and we will let you know your options.
Do you sell factory seconds or second hand mattresses?
Unfortunatly no.
The mattress I have at home is too firm. Can you make it softer?
A topper will make a mattress softer. We have several toppers available and can be custom made to your requirements. View our Toppers here
My base has curved posture slats are they ok?
Any flexible materials used in bases such as posture slats, flexislats, sprung bases will encourage your mattress to bow and create body indentation. This may void your warranty as the mattress does not have the correct foundation to support the sleeper and there prematurely age the mattress.

What is the difference between a Hand-Tufted Mattress and Standard Quilted Mattress?
Tufting a traditional form of the manufacturing process of a mattress, where the layers are hand- sewn and minimal to no glue used. This technique keeps the materials from shifting and sagging over time which aids to the longevity of the product. This process of manufacturing is more difficult and time consuming compared to the more common standard machine quilting process. Quilted mattresses have a smoother, flatter surface and often feature a decorative design on the cover.

Do you have vegan mattresses?
Yes! We have mattresses that are vegan using synthetic fibres, natural fibres or a combination of both. If you like a mattress that isn’t vegan in our showroom, we can customise it to suit the vegan lifestyle.
Are the baby mattress only standard size?
There is no standard size for baby bassinet or cot mattress. All our mattresses for babies are custom made to measure.
